Not everyone makes the map.
Plenty of platforms will put any restaurant on the map. We will not. Every place clears the standard before it makes the map, or it does not make it at all. That is the whole reason a pin here means something.
An independently owned restaurant that cleared our bar: real reviews, a working kitchen, a proven track record. Vetted by us before it is featured, and pinned to the map.
The highest honor on the map, and it only happens in person. When the crew rolls in, eats the food, and films the story, that place becomes a Local Legend. Rooted here. Loved here. Legendary here.
How a spot clears the standard
Nothing moves a restaurant through these but the food itself. Either it clears the bar, or it does not.
Independently owned
No chains, no franchises, a kitchen making their own food. If it is a corporate clone off the highway, it is out before step two.
Proven reputation
4.0+ on Google with real review volume, not a handful of friends. We read the reviews and the reputation, not just the star count.
A real track record
Open and serving for a year or more, in good standing. We do not put a name on the map that might not be there in six months.
A human takes a look
Someone on our team confirms it is the real deal. Not a payment, not an algorithm. Clear all four and the place can be featured on the map.
Crowned a Local Legend
The one tier you cannot ask for. When the crew rolls in, eats the food, and films the story in person, the kitchen gets the gold. Earned on camera, never handed out.
What it takes to qualify
A platform only means something if the standard is real. Here is the bar a restaurant clears before we will feature it, no exceptions.
- Independently owned, no franchise paperwork
- 4.0+ on Google with real review volume
- Open and serving for a year or more
- A real kitchen making their own food
- In good standing, currently operating
- A place worth driving across town for
What we promise, and what we never will
We are honest about how this works. Here is exactly where the line is.
- Lower the standard. We turn down places that do not clear it
- Hand out Local Legend. It is earned in person when the crew shows up on camera
- Fake a pin. The gate is real for everyone
- A filmed visit, pro photography, and reach across our audience
- A place on the map, but only after you clear the standard
- An honest feature, never dressed up as more than it is
No surprises, ever.

Tell us about a great independent restaurant. If it clears the standard, it could land on the map and in front of our whole audience.
